Just got an email:
Hello, my name is Eli. Im from Israel, Netanya. I'm 26, I was an officer in the army and now im studying Law.
I just want to say thank you, from me and my friends, for the site u are running
I was pleased to read that there are demonsration for Israel in Washington and New-York. We're having one too, on Saturday.
It is very important for us that we`ll look good to other countries, but now I don't think they see us that way.
That's why it is very important to have sites like urs, I hope u do P.R. for ure site.
This is a war not just against terror, but also a war of media, and whoever wins the war of media will triumph..
Again - thank u and ur friends for standing beside us and trying to show the world that the Palestinians are using the media for covering their crimes and terror.
From me,
Eli

Don't stop letting people know what's going on. And take every opportunity to encourage Israel! For Jerusalem's sake!
I was born in Brooklyn (like everybody), but I served in the Israeli army; my first reserve duty was the Six-Day War. My father was a Palestinian--born in Poland, emigrated to Palestine when he was three years old, in 1920. I inherited a deep love of Israel from him. I hate the stream of lies I read and hear daily about Israel. I love Israel's people--all of them. [Contact me: joel dot orr at gmail dot com]

From Naomi Ragen:
Friends,
I received this letter from the mother of an IDF soldier, a medic now serving his country in the war against terror.
It was written early in the morning, with haste. There are typos. But it is a sincere window into the hearts of our soldiers and into what is really happening.
All the best,
Naomi
Dear Friends;
It is five-forty in the morning and I have just spent the past hour speaking with Mordechai who is now with other soldiers awaiting entrance to the Jenin refugee camp, where he will be working for the next few hours , if not days, or weeks.
As a medic he will be treating both arabs and Jews who are injured. Mordechai has told me that many times, his position as a medic, has given him more opportunity to treat Arabs than his own people!
The Palestinians are lying about who is creating civilian casualties! Yesterday in Jenin, they had the job of checking three hundred prisoners. They check for injuries and medical problems. Seventy of these prisoners were kept incarcerated. The others were let go after questioning, either because they were not armed, were too young, or too old.
All were treted humanely, the same as Israeli soldiers. If an Israeli soldier is captured by the Palestinians, he is hung and dragged through the streets. Mordechai has orders not to shoot anyone who comes at him unarmed. This is the rule of the Israelis. Anyone who wants to go free, can. If they refuse to put down arms they are considered militants. Mordechai says that Israel is tired of fighting.
Israel wants peace, but who will they talk to? He is so angry at yesterdays massacre! He told me that the soldiers tripped a wire that set off a booby trapped building. At the same time a young person came forward with explosives strapped to him and calmly blew himself up. Eight militants were waiting on the roof of a nearby building and shot anyone who lived through the explosions.
He says it is very hard to understand why America want Israel to pull out before the job is done. As an American and an Israeli, he feels we are not really understanding what is happening on the West Bank.
Mordechai is worried that if the Israelies pull out now, some of these Islamic terrorists, a month from now, six months from now, will be blowing up another place in an American city, and it will be too late! Americans don't seem to understand that destroying the terroirist camps here, are protecting America!
The Israelies care greatly about world opinion. They have explicit orders not to hurt civilians unless they are challenged by them! Israelies have a code of honor!! The reason Mordechai says that they treat more arabs, is because they are always the first to arrive, and are willing to treat anyone who is injured in any way. They do not segregate arab from Jew!
In order to protect the Israeli people and America from future attacks they must be allowed to finish the job they have started. Mordechai worries that if this is not done, America will, unfortunately, later pay the price, as terrorism will raise its ugly head here!
I told Mordechai that I had just listened to the UN proposals, just prior to speaking with him. I suppose world condemnation could have been worse! I personally do not put much stock in UN anything!!
Both Mordechai and I agree that Yassar Arafat should not be recognized by the United States or anyone else, if peace is to be an option! We pray that G-D will give us a miracle and that someone, almost anyone, will arise that can bring peace to the region. The next hours will be difficult on all of us. I pray for Mordechai, for all our Israeli soldiers, and for peace.
On a personal note, I feel very strongly that we in the Jewish community have not yet done our best to bring attention to the immediate need for support of our people in Israel. We have little rallys every day, but no outpouring of support! The Israelies feel that we are not behind them, and this makes me angry!!
This situation does not call for a demonstration a week from now!! It calls for action now!!! Let us stop sympathizing, and do something , so that our government and Israel know that we, the Jewish people, are aware of Collin Powell's visit, we stand firm behind Israel, and that their fate is our fate! It matters!!!

Sign up for Naomi Ragen's email news here. Just got this from her:
Yesterday at 8:05 pm Israel time, CNN broadcast the report of Rula Amin from Jenin. Ms. Amin had with her a sad looking, rather bald fellow with a tear "painted" on his face. He didn't open his mouth, but she regaled us with his terrible maltreatment at the hands of Israeli soldiers who made him (shudder!) take off his clothes, among other atrocities. In the background, the smiling children of Jenin looked on.
Now, and this is the part that we should all be paying attention to, at the time Ms. Amin was broadcasting her sob story, 13 Israeli soldiers had been blown up in a terrorist trap set up amidst civilian housing. Being the most moral army in the world, Israel doesn't allow its planes to bomb houses, even when they are filled with barrels of explosives and suicide bombers, so our young reservists were going house to house. So obvious was the omission, that the CNN anchor in Atlanta had to ask Amin point blank about the death of Israeli soldiers. What did Ms. Amin reply?: That according to her Palestinian sources (ie.unnamed advocates of terror, who are never questioned, and whose information CNN passes on without any "alleged" or other simple, basic journalistic disavowal of unconfirmed reports, or a countering Israeli report) it was the Israelis who had set the bombs up in Palestinian neighborhoods to kill civilians.
This kind of reporting is pure, unadulterated propaganda. Mr. Rick Davis (rick.davis@turner.com) who is responsible for the "balance and fairness " of news reports, and who claims not only to be Jewish but to have family in Israel, is responsible for the excesses of Ms. Amin, who is notorious for her "we" reporting from the Palestinian camp.
Today, at the funeral of one of the soldiers killed, his father said: "We're sacrificing our sons so it should look better on CNN." And I say to the Israeli government, you are getting our boys killed, but you will not get a fair, accurate or balanced report from CNN.
All those of you who are looking to help, why not print up and distribute car stickers which tell the truth? Some suggestions:
Don't Trust CNN
(C)ommerical (N)azi (N)ews
Terrorism Speaks: CNN broadcasts
CNN: A terrorist's best friend
(C)ertainly (N)ot (N)ews
CNN Lies
CNN: Terrorist Apologists
All those of you in Atlanta, what about some signs with these slogans in front of CNN headquarters?
Our soldiers are dying in house to house searches, risking their lives to prevent civilian casualties, but CNN will broadcast terrorist lies anyway, causing Israeli deaths, and preventing us from defending ourselves.
Please get angry. Please get the word out.

From the "Voice of Judea" email newsletter:
IDF Deputy Territories Operations Commander Brig.-Gen. Kamil Abu Rukun told Army Radio in response, "It's not the Israeli army that is delaying the evacuation of Palestinian wounded in the territories.
"We requested from local Red Cross and [Palestinian] Red Crescent authorities to be involved in this matter, giving them all the opportunities and availability to assist, and they refused for their own inhumane ... propaganda reasons."
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, after meeting with US envoy Anthony Zinni last night, ordered the IDF to begin pulling out of Kalkilya and Tulkarm, a source in the Prime Minister's Office said. The redeployment was due to begin immediately, following pressure from the US.
"The defense minister, in coordination with the prime minister, has ordered the army to start redeploying out of Kalkilya and Tulkarm tonight and enforce the closure around them," the Defense Ministry said.
Forces have largely moved out of the two northern West Bank cities, at this posting. Source: JPost

Peres is the best Foreign Minister Arafat could have. Unfortunately, Peres seems to think he is Foreign Minister of Palestine.

Here's that note I mentioned from Naomi Ragan:
Dear Friends:
This Passover, I and my family were at the Park Hotel seder night. We left the lobby and went upstairs to begin a private seder. Five minutes later, the building shook as the worst carnage in recent Israeli history took place.
I wrote about this experience. An editor at the New York Times who read it said it was compelling, but they were going to run another piece on the Passover Massacre by a Scott Andersen. Oh, I asked, was he also there? No, he wasn't. But the New York Times prefers to get their stories from people who weren't there. Or from Israeli leftists like Yossi Sarid, and Yossi Beilin, and Shlomo Ben Ami, two-bit politicians all of whom are considered traitors by the average Israeli, who have nothing to do with their time but sell Israel and her people out again and again to any enemy willing to give them the time of day.
I feel the miracle of survival, and the anger at all those who allow, support, and encourage the Islamic-Nazis to continue their work. I'm angry at the hotel security guard who didn't do his job (believe me, I was an eyewitness) At the hotel manager who didn't do his. I'm angry at the government of Israel for eight years of useless appeasement that let Arafat and his terrorists in and allowed them to build up bomb factories; I'm angry at the present government of Israel which took so long to go into the rat-warrens of the terrorist scum in the Palestinian controlled territories in which they are now taking out thousands and thousands of weapons and bomb-building equipment. I'm angry at the hypocrisy of the European scum who blow up synagogues and burn Jewish school buses and talk about what we are doing to the Poor Palestinians. I'm angry at the American President who says he understands Israel's right to defend herself, and then sends us Colin Powell the appeaser to tie our soldiers hands and force them to leave "Palestinian towns" which only became Palestinian towns because of Oslo, whish is now defunct, because our government-- the late, long lamented Mr. Rabin and the unlamented Mr. Peres-- arranged to hand it over to them. I'm angry at American Jews for sitting at home when Palestinians are taking over Times Square shouting out their hatred.
If the Israeli army is forced to withdraw, allowing terrorists to once again take over our streets, that is the end of this country, our beloved Israel. I'd like you to think about that and act accordingly. This is the greatest emergency the Jewish people have faced since the transports.
I almost lost my whole family.
The family of Israel stands to lose its future and repeat its past.

Alisa Flatow Memorial Fund - Providing scholarship assistance for the study of the Jewish religion in Israel. Alisa was killed by a suicide bomber in Israel, April 9, 1995. This site describes a moving and positive response to her murder--certainly not the only such by the families of victims, but a wonderful one.
When some characterize the Arabs as barbarians, and the Jews as humane, such responses bear simple testimony to the truth.
How much of the hundreds of millions of dollars received by Arafat from the US, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Europe have been used for the betterment of "his people"?
Why is it so hard to see the risky lengths which Israel goes to avoid civilian casualties lined up next to the child-murdering suicide bombers and snipers? What kind of mental and moral contortions must BBC, Reuters, The New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, et al, perform, to insist on "moral equivalence"? Shame on them all. May God have mercy on them.

Arafat tells gunmen to refuse deal -- The Washington Times - Can anyone explain to me why these are "militant gunmen" and not "terrorists"?

KAHANE LOBBYISTS TO PROTEST STATE DEPT TERROR CLASSIFICATION
Tuesday morning, Yosef Orlo will lead a delegation of protesters outside the State Dept. with the following message:
"The PA condones suicide bombing by young Arab men and is not on FTO (Foreign Terrorist Organization) list, yet Kahane Chai merely calls for relocating the enemy, and they are on the list."
For more information or to join the delegation call 301 754 1128

Small question: Isn't "condones" a bit of a wimp-out, when the truth would be better expressed by "instigates" or "directs"? I guess "condones" is harder to argue with.

Author Naomi Ragan was in the Park Hotel in Netanya, on the night of the recent terrorist atrocity, in another private seder. She wrote a first-person account of the harrowing experience and submitted it to The New York Times. They turned it down, preferring to publish an account from someone who wasn't there, but who is in tune with the NYT's extreme-left politics. Shame on them. (via email note)
